What Are Custom Zippers And Why Do We Need Them?
A zipper is a fastener consisting of two rows of metal or plastic teeth on strips of tape and a sliding piece that closes an opening by drawing the teeth together.
This definition of a zipper has become so popular that the majority of People know it. Yet people are still unable to get the difference between a zip and a zipper. Now my first assignment on this article is to explain what a zipper is, and also a custom-made zipper alongside with its benefits.
When zip is used as a noun, it means the high-pitched sound of a small object moving rapidly through the air. While a zipper when used as a noun means a zip fastener. I think with this explanation you can now be able to differentiate between a zip and a zipper. In history, the first zippers were made of metals in 1893.
The types of zippers can be categorized based on materials used. But those categorizations also have subdivisions. The first type of a zipper is the categorization based on element/ teeth material used. Which is now subdivided into three namely; Metal zippers, as I had mentioned earlier, it is the most basic original zippers first produced. The second sub division is moulded plastic zippers.
These plastic zippers have individually injected moulded teeth, fused directly onto the tape of the zipper. These zippers are ideal, for outerwear and heavy weight garments or any outdoor application while the last subdivision is Invisible zippers, which do not require the provision of a fly since they are made and stitched in such a manner that only a hairline seam is visible from outside. These zippers are predominantly used in ladies’ dresses and skirts.
Also, these zippers are available in knitted and woven tapes. Another category of zipper is based on functionality. Under these we have close-end zipped, open- end zippers and two- way zippers. The last category of types of zippers is based on length tolerance in zippers.
Now getting back to our topic, because all those analyses is very important for the great understanding of the article. After going that, then what is a custom zipper? They are zippers that are made according to personal order.
Which means when talking about a custom, you cannot have yours and others will now plagiarize it, that is impossible, because your customized zippers are designed according to your personal order. Then what are its benefits?
A custom zipper tends to generate more sales. Personalizing products does not just help increase sales , it also keeps your customers satisfied, which promotes loyalty and word-of-mouth recommendations.
A study by Delloite suggests that, in average, in different retail sectors, 36% of consumers would consider buying customized products or services. Did that surprise you? Just listen to this! 1 in 5 of these consumers would be willing to pay 20% more for a personalized or exclusive product! This indicates a shift in consumer mentality away from monetary cost, and towards inherent value. This means custom zippers can make your product move to being a good of ostentation. Wow! This is wonderful.
A customized zipper makes your business stand out from the competition. If you can offer unique products, custom designed for your clients, it will make a big difference in the decision-making process.
