Where every other team in the world plays the game of cricket with true spirit and behaviour, teams like Australia have always been in lime light because of their cheating behaviour and unfair means of practice in the game.

1. Greg Chappell Tells Brother Trevor To Bowl Underarm

In a very crucial and tight match between NZ vs AUS. NZ needed 6 runs on the last ball to tie the match and this is when Greg Chappell told his brother Trevor to deliver the last ball of the inning as Underarm so that the New Zealand player cannot hit a six and tie the match.

This incident is still regarded as the most unfair and unhealthy means of practice in the game of Cricket.

2. Justin Langer Removing The Bails With His Hand and Appealing For Hit Wicket

This incident took place between Australia and Sri Lanka.

In this match Justin Langer while crossing the side moved while crossing the batting stumps and this is when he intentionally removed one of the bail with his hand.

Later the whole australian team appealed for hit wicket but this time their cheating was caught in camera and the umpires ruled out their appeal.

3. Julian Intentionally Coming In Way of Sherwin Campbell

This incident took place between Australia and West Indies.

In this match Australia while batting first gave a target of 253 runs to west indies. While chasing, West Indies was in a strong position and was heading towards an easy win.

This is when Australian bowler julian after delivering his bowl came in way of Sherwin Campbell (who was running from the non strikers end) and ended up in colliding with him.

This resulted in Sherwin getting run out, but the crowd of west indies was not happy with this cheating and started throwing bottles in the ground forcing australian team to leave.

4. Steve Waugh Claiming Bumped Catch of Srikkanth

This incident took place between Australia and India.

In this match Indian opener Srikkanth was batting quite well when he played a shot towards Steve Waugh and Steve Waugh tried catching the ball but clearly dropped it but still managed to pick up the ball and claimed it to be a fair catch.

It was clearly seen in the cameras that the ball was on the ground and Steve Waugh picked up the ball from ground while diving backward and claimed it as a fair catch.

5. Australian Batsman Marsh Kicked The Ball To Avoid RunOut

This incident took place between Australia and New Zealand.

In this match an Australian batsman hit the ball and the non striker batsman started running but the ball was going towards the bowler and the bowler had a great chance of running out the non striker batsman but this was the moment when australian batsman cheated and kicked the ball in other direction to avoid getting runout.

6. Ricky Ponting Claiming A Bumped Catch

This incident took place between Australia and India.

In this match M.S Dhoni was batting quite well and he played a defensive shot but the ball took the edge of his bat and was in air. This is when Ricky Pointing dived took the catch but when shown in replay it was clearly visible that the ball bumped on the ground but still pointing claimed the catch as clean and even asked the umpire to give out.

7. Steve Smith Ball Tempering Incident

This incident took place between Australia and South Africa.

This incident took the world in shock as Australians were still cheating in the time of such modern gadgets and cameras.

Cameron Bancroft was caught rubbing a piece of sandpaper on the ball in order to do ball tempering and the result of which Cameron Bancroft, Steve Smith and David Warner were found guily and were banned from International cricket.

Steve Smith and David Warner were banned for 1 year while Cameron Bancroft was banned for a period of 9 months.

8. Steve Smith Removing Rishab Pant’s Batsman Guard

This incident took place between Australia and India.

This is the most recent incident of cheating by australian player and getting caught in camera.

Indian team was in a very stable position and was heading towards a victory when Rishab Pant was batting really well.

This was the time when Steve Smith removed the batting guard of Rishab Pant using his shoes but all went in vain as Rishab Pant saw that and took the guard again and India ended up in drawing the match.
