According to Singh, he was invited to a “sleazy gentleman’s” house in Andheri. The man didn’t open Ranveer’s portfolio. All he said was – “You need to be smart and sexy to get ahead in the business. One who is smart and sexy makes it big here. Ranveer said that casting couch is a very real thing and he had experienced it first-hand. Finally, Ranveer refused to accept his offer. The man cried like a jilted lover.
Known for her bold image, Ranaut revealed that she was asked for sexual favors in return for the role in ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ after audition. She denied and remained firm on getting the role using only her talent. The actress said that she never had to go through the casting couch. According to this actress, someone needs to be really dumb to think he or she can bag a role for sleeping around. And she isn’t one! She said in an interview that people need to use their common sense. As per the Hindi entertainment news, Ranaut also maintained that “if the casting couch route was so easy, then all the women from the red light area would have been superstars today.”
The actress revealed that during her initial days of film career in the south, she had to face the casting couch. She also said that she gathered all of her strength to turn down the offer to be ‘nice’ to the director. Chawla was ready to lose a role, but not self-respect. In Bollywood, she didn’t come across any such offers. Her experience in Tamil cinema was really bad. After bagging a crucial role, the director had one of his friends call and make an offer for her to sleep with the director. The friend told her that it would only be until the film was made. She simply refused.
The TV Anchor-turned movie star Ayushmann Khurrana also revealed the ugly truth about the couch. He said that he had been through the help initially when he was part of the industry. Khurrana was a TV anchor and a casting director directly offered that he must adhere to the rule. Khurrana said that since he was straight, he said he wouldn’t do it.

At last it went in to Bhandarkar’s favor. According to Madhur, every industry has casting couch. The film industry is talked about as it is in the limelight. He also said that things happen only with consent.
